On the same day that I was going to Epein’s house, my mom also had a majlis berbuka puasa at her friend’s house. The day before, she asked me should she order tepung pelita or karipap to bring on the next day. I (tetiba gatal) volunteered to prepare Cara Berlauk for her as I would be bringing the same thing to Epein’s house (before I had ‘that’ change of plan-read my previous entry- Majlis Berbuka Puasa di Rumah Epein).
So, I end up preparing two dishes on that particular Saturday. My Layered Bread and my mom’s Cara Berlauk. It’s quite a ‘Kan Cheong Kitchen’ that day as we (my sister and I) have to go out early (3pm) to send my brother to Klang bus station (he is currently working in Ipoh and he’ll be back for raya only on the 8th day of hari raya…isn’t that sad? For him, at least…hehe…)
Back to the ‘Kan Cheong Kitchen’ scene in my kitchen, I actually managed (and of course with my sister as the sous chef…hehe…) to prepare both dishes and then sending my brother off on time…Alhamdulillah…

Tadaaa…these are the Cara Berlauk-my style…hehe…I know, there’s something wrong with the shape, but my mom cannot find the acuan, so we decided to use that acuan and you know what? I actually like it that way as I can stuff in more inti on it… yumm… yumm… hehe…
